Alkimia Interactive continues to work hard on the remake of the cult role-playing game Gothic. In February the authors released a free demo called Nyras Prologue, which attracted a lot of attention of gamers and received positive feedback. But there is no limit to perfection, and the developers have analysed 15 thousand reviews and made a number of adjustments to the game.

Here's What We Know

Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic published a new instalment of the Making Of video diary series, in which they talked about the Nyras Prologue update.

The authors tried to make the remake even closer to the original game in terms of atmosphere and general perception, they listened to gamers' recommendations and sped up many animations to make the interaction with the world and characters smoother. In the nearest plans of the developers to change the weather in the game to make Gothic 1 Remake less sunny - like in the original 2001.

All innovations of Nyras Prologue will be carried over to the full version of Gothic 1 Remake, although they are not related to the storyline.

When We Can Expect It

It is still unknown when Gothic Remake will be released. It is expected to be in 2025.

The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
