Blades of Fire, an action game by MercurySteam, is set to release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 22 May 2025. The game has already attracted attention thanks to its deep weapon creation system, tactical combat, and an interesting world that combines a medieval atmosphere with dark fantasy. And players are asking for a demo, which is coming.

Here's What We Know

The authors have heard the players' requests and said that they are already preparing a demo version of Blades of Fire for all platforms, which should be released very soon. It is likely to happen as early as this week, as there are less than 10 days left before the release.

The main focus of Blades of Fire is on the unique weapon crafting system. Players can create their own swords, hammers, and other weapons by combining seven different types and more than 30 unique Forge Scrolls. Each weapon has many settings - blade length, blade shape, materials - that affect its weight, strength, and sharpness. The process of forging takes place in the form of a mini-game where you need to hit the metal with a hammer accurately and in time to create the perfect battle tool.

The combat system requires a tactical approach from the player: it is important to choose the right type of attack - slashing, stabbing, or punching - and aim at specific parts of the enemy's body. For example, in the battle with the first boss, a troll, the player can cut off his arm, depriving him of a powerful weapon, or even cut off his face, leaving the enemy blind and defenceless.

The stamina system here is also different from most Souls-like games. Blocking attacks not only protects but also restores the player's stamina, which encourages active defence and parrying. At the same time, enemies also have their own stamina, and the correct use of blocks, dodges, and parries allows you to exhaust them and deal a powerful blow.
