The first official teaser for Spider-Noir, an adaptation of the Marvel comic book about an alternate Spider-Man starring Nicolas Cage, has finally appeared. The show promises to immerse viewers in the atmosphere of 1930s noir New York and will be released in 2026.

Here's What We Know

Spider-Noir tells the story of an old private detective Jason Duvall, who was once the only superhero in the city. Now he has to deal with his own past and new crimes in the dark world of an alternative New York. The series is shot in black-and-white noir style, which emphasises the atmosphere of classic detective stories.

Nicolas Cage, who previously voiced the character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its sequel, returns to the role in a live-action performance. He is joined in the project by Bruen Gleeson, Lamorne Morris, Lee June Lee and other famous actors.

The first two episodes were directed by Emmy Award winner Harry Bradber, and showrunners are Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, who have worked on projects such as The Punisher and Shantaram. The series is also produced by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal, the team behind the Spider-Man cartoons.

The series will first premiere on MGM+ in the US, and the following day it will be available in more than 240 countries and regions on Amazon Prime Video. The series will consist of eight episodes.

The first teaser is already available, and it shows a stylish Spider-Noir costume that is as true to the comic book original as possible, and also creates a mysterious mood for the upcoming show.
