Grand Theft Auto VI may return Liberty City: fans reveal secrets of the second trailer
The second trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI has caused a real stir among fans who are carefully studying every frame in search of clues. One of the most interesting theories is that the game will feature not only Vice City but also the long-loved Liberty City.
Here's What We Know
Rockstar has officially confirmed that GTA 6 will take place in Vice City and the fictional state of Leonidas, a modern version of Florida with a large open world that is almost twice the size of the GTA V map. The game will have three districts - Vice-Dale (analogue of Miami), Leonard and Kelly County, as well as many locations: from the swampy Grassrivers to the Leonida Keys.
However, in the second trailer, we noticed several details that indicate the return of Liberty City. In particular, one of the screenshots shows a cap with the inscription Liberty City, and a number plate with the same city appears in the frame. The official website of the game confirms that the character Lucia and her mother are from Liberty City. This has led to speculation that GTA 6 may have a second map or that Liberty City will be integrated into the game world.
This is not the first time Rockstar has hidden a large location. This has already happened in Red Dead Redemption 2.
GTA 6 is scheduled for release on 26 May 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and is expected to come to PC later.
We would like to remind you that Grand Theft Auto VI has collected 100 million views of the second trailer on Rockstar's channel in a week.
