Pakistan's Air Vice Marshal Ahmet Aurangzeb said that Pakistani troops had destroyed the radar and control centre of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system at an airbase near the city of Adampur.

Here's What We Know

During his report on the targets hit, Aurangzeb showed satellite images showing the impact of the strikes on two locations at the airbase. As evidence, he compared these images with those taken before the conflict began.

According to him, it is easier to attack the S-400 than to identify it on the ground because it is a mobile system. The Pakistani military command had been monitoring the situation using satellite imagery long before the fighting started.

At the same time, the resolution of the satellite images does not allow us to say with complete certainty that it was S-400 components that were hit. However, this indicates shortcomings in the preparation of Indian calculations, as the missiles reached their target at the airbase without being intercepted.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally visited the Adampur airbase to refute Pakistan's claims. He spoke against the backdrop of one of the S-400 launchers, thereby emphasising its undamaged condition. However, this demonstration only reinforced Pakistan's claims, as the damage was to the radar and command post, not the launcher, of which there can be up to 12 in a regiment.
