It's not a hoax: journalists showed 20 minutes of gameplay of God Save Birmingham and the unusual survival simulator really does look great
In April, the gamer community received the debut trailer of God Save Birmingham with scepticism - the game looked so good that it aroused suspicion. And the overly correct interaction of in-game objects gave the impression of complete staging on the part of the developer, which made few people believe that the game from unknown Korean studio Ocean Drive could look like that.
However, a new video has appeared online, which confirms the excellent performance of God Save Birmingham.
Here's What We Know
IGN journalists visited PAX East 2025 and got a chance to record pure gameplay of God Save Birmingham demo.
This time the footage is shown without montage transitions, and the one who played the unusual survival simulator, unlike the developers, did not know where to go and how the game will react to this or that action. Of course, at this stage some technical roughnesses are visible and the game doesn't look as perfect as in the first video, but it doesn't feel like a cheat either. God Save Birmingham does feature excellent graphics, high detail and smooth animations, and the behaviour of the crowd of medieval zombies looks organic and "alive".
When We Can Expect It
God Save Birmingham release date is unknown. The game is announced so far only on Steam.
