Polyphony Digital and PlayStation have announced the latest update to Gran Turismo 7, which adds four new cars, expands the World Circuit events and extends support for Sophy artificial intelligence. The update is already available for PS5, PS4 and PSVR2, so all players can enjoy the new content.

Here's What We Know

The update, released on 15 May 2025, adds a variety of cars to the Gran Turismo 7 fleet: from European sports cars to Japanese vans. The new cars include the legendary Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C5) of 2001, the powerful Ferrari 812 Superfast of 2017, the modern Honda CR-V e:HEV EX Black Edition of 2021, and the compact Suzuki Carry KC of 2012.

In addition to the new cars, the developers have added three new events to the World Circuit mode: Lightweight K-Cup at the Eiger Nordwand circuit, American Clubman Cup 700 at the legendary Autódromo de Interlagos, and Ferrari Circuit Challenge at Deep Forest Raceway. These competitions expand opportunities for players to test their skills on a variety of tracks.

Special attention was paid to the development of Sophy artificial intelligence, one of the most advanced AIs in racing games. Sophy now supports more tracks, including Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix Layout. Players will be able to compete with AI in Quick Race and Custom Race modes, gaining a unique experience of fighting with an opponent that mimics human behaviour on the track.

In addition, the Scapes photo mod has a new collection "Shooting the perfect square", which will allow you to create even more stylish and atmospheric shots.
