A few days ago, journalist Mark Gurman reported that in 2027 Apple will release an extensive line of gadgets, among which will be the anniversary model of the iPhone, which will be almost entirely glass smartphone with a curved display without frames.

Here's What We Know

Sources involved in Apple's component supply chain have revealed some interesting facts about the smartphone.

Korean portal ETNews writes that Apple intends to use the idea of "four-sided bending" for the 2027 iPhone - the screen will not only curve along the left and right sides, as it was on some current smartphones from other brands, but also wrap around the top and bottom edges. This will create a truly borderless visual experience with content flowing seamlessly across all sides of the device. The smartphones will have no cutouts or holes. The front camera and FaceID sensor will be placed below the surface of the screen by the company.

iPhone 2027 will get a high-capacity battery made of pure silicon instead of graphite, which will increase energy density and extend battery life.

Some of the described ideas are already used by Android smartphone makers, but Apple has not yet resorted to such solutions. As one insider stated:

Apple has traditionally focused on excellence and user experience rather than being the first to introduce new technologies, and instead introduces them when the technology is mature enough and optimised for its own products. The company is preparing to boldly introduce cutting-edge technology, especially in light of the symbolic nature of the iPhone's 20th anniversary model.
