Samsung will not delay the release of One UI 8 based on Android 16 - the firmware will be released this summer
Samsung has officially announced its plans for the One UI 8.
Here's What We Know
During The Android Show 2025, Samsung confirmed that the Android 16-based firmware for its current gadgets will be released in the summer.
The company is confident that the massive problems that accompanied the One UI 7 rollout will not be repeated.
The first smartphones with One UI 8 pre-installed will be the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. By the way, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 7 will be the world's thinnest smartphone with a body thickness of 3.9mm.
As always, before releasing the stable version, One UI 8 will undergo a beta test, which is expected to start in late May or early June.
One UI 8 will not bring any major changes, and the main innovations will appear in version 8.5, which is already in development.
