Qualcomm has unveiled a new generation budget chipset - Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.

Here's What We Know

The processor is made on 4nm process technology and has 8 cores:

• 1 ultra-performance core with frequency up to 2.8 GHz;
• 4 performance cores with frequency up to 2.4 GHz;
• 3 energy-efficient cores up to 1.84 GHz.

Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 will deliver 27% performance gains on the processor side, 30% on the graphics side, and 65% on AI tasks.

The chip supports 4K shooting at 60 fps and can run language models locally.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Honor and vivo will release the first smartphones with this chip as early as May 2025.
