Here's What We Know

The Polish Armaments Agency has signed a framework agreement with WB Group companies to supply Warmate kamikaze drones to the Polish Armed Forces. According to the contract, it is planned to purchase about a thousand kits and 10,000 rounds of ammunition by 2035.

Minister of Defence Vladyslav Kosinyak-Kamysh, who attended the signing, noted that several additional executive agreements will be signed in the near future. He emphasised that this initiative is the result of the work of the newly established Military Inspectorate for Drones - less than six months after its creation.

In October 2024, it became known that South Korea had also signed a contract with WB Group for the supply of ten Warmate 3 kits, which include almost 200 drones. The deal was worth about $10.85 million, with deliveries scheduled for 2024-2025.

Although the exact version that the Polish army will receive is not specified, it is likely to be a Warmate 3 or a combination with the Warmate TL version.

The drone has an operational range of 30 km, with the ability to maintain communication up to 80 km, and a flight duration of up to 70 minutes. It is equipped with a low-noise engine that can be switched on and off in flight. Thanks to improved aerodynamics, the drone has become more manoeuvrable and can carry a warhead weighing up to 3 kg.
