An unexpected gift for fans of the quest: Syberia returns in an updated Remastered edition

Out of the blue, Microids has announced a remaster of the cult adventure game Syberia. Developed by Studio Virtuallyz and Microids Studio Paris, Syberia Remastered will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in the fourth quarter of 2025. The first screenshots of the updated game are already available for viewing, allowing you to evaluate the visual changes.

The original Syberia, created by the talented Benoît Sokal, was released in May 2002 and received widespread acclaim. The game tells the story of Kate Walker, who, together with her automaton Oscar, embarks on a fascinating point-and-click journey to uncover the secrets of the mysterious island of Syberia. The remaster will significantly rejuvenate the game's visuals with completely redesigned character models and recreated locations from scratch.

In addition to the graphical improvements, the developers have also rethought the puzzles to provide a "smoother and more intuitive experience" for players.
