REPO doesn't stop: developers are responding to bugs and will add a powerful Cart Cannon weapon that will destroy everything in your path
The world of REPO continues to fascinate players, and Semiwork never tires of fueling interest with a fresh batch of cool updates from the community.
Here's What We Know
In a new five-minute video, the developers humorously recalled the recent health bug that many people abused before it was fixed.
The face of the studio, Pontus Sundström, explained that the popularity of this exploit led to changes in the health mechanics and difficulty settings of the game. Now it will be a little easier for beginners, and teams will have a convenient feature that will make health replenishment cheaper.
But the main highlight of the video was a look at the Cart Cannon, a phenomenally powerful weapon that can be mounted on a player's cart and can destroy almost anything in its path.
"And now I'm happy to introduce a brand new item. A weapon, if you will. This thing will turn your cart into a battle tank," Pontus proudly said, introducing the Cart Cannon.
At the end of the video, the developers showed the evolution of this devastating weapon, turning it from an explosive to a laser. Pontus emphasised that these innovations are not yet available in the game and will appear in one of the future updates, but the exact date is still unknown.
In May, the Semiwork team admitted that the huge success of REPO leaves them no time to sleep, which only underlines the growing popularity of this exciting project. So players can only look forward to new surprises from the developers, who are clearly not going to stop there.
REPO is a co-operative survival horror game by Swedish studio Semiwork that has been released in early access on Steam. Players, in the role of robots, perform tasks of a mysterious artificial intelligence, penetrating dangerous areas to find and carefully transport valuable items to the evacuation point. The game supports up to 6 players in cooperative mode and uses physical interaction with objects to add realism and complexity. Each mission is procedurally generated, providing unique challenges and enemies. Players must coordinate actions via voice chat, avoid monsters, and make strategic decisions under time pressure. Earned money can be spent on equipment upgrades and new tools. R.E.P.O. has received "extremely positive" reviews on Steam and has become popular among fans of co-operative horror.
