The Last of Us star is moving into a new dimension: Tony Dalton joins Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
There are spoilers for the sixth episode of The Last of Us season two!
Just this week we saw Tony Dalton in The Last of Us, and now it's officially been revealed that the actor has been cast in the PS5 game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
Here's What We Know
In the sixth episode, we dive into flashbacks. In the first minutes of the episode, we meet Joel's father, played brilliantly by Tony Dalton. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, studio head Neil Druckmann admitted that he was so impressed with Dalton's performance in the series that he immediately offered him a place in the cast of Intergalactic.
"He immediately came to mind, and I just offered him the role on the spot," Druckmann added. This isn't the first time that actors from The Last of Us have found a place in new Naughty Dog projects, which is a testament to the strong relationship and trust between the studio and the cast.
Tony Dalton is known for his roles in numerous TV series, from Better Call Saul to Hawkeye and Daredevil: Daredevil: Born Again. It is not yet known what role he will play in Intergalactic. The game itself seems to be still a few years away from release (rumoured to be no earlier than 2027), but Naughty Dog is already actively testing it inside the studio.
It is worth reminding that Stephen A. Chang, familiar to many from his role as Jesse in The Last of Us Part 2, will also be in Intergalactic.
