Invasion of Super-Earth: Helldivers 2 received a grand update "Heart of Democracy"
Get ready, hell raisers! Super Earth, our home, has now become a battlefield. Helldivers 2 has finally received the maps of Super Earth, where fierce battles will unfold as part of the massive Heart of Democracy update. As predicted by last week's leaks, the Heart of Democracy update, which is now available for PC and PlayStation 5, marks the arrival of the Illuminati on Super Earth. Now you can choose missions on our home planet, in its Mega-Cities, and fight off invaders side by side with the SEAF (Super Earth Armed Forces).
Here's What We Know
City Biomes includes operations aimed at liberating cities, which, according to developer Arrowhead, have a 'significant impact on planetary campaigns'. It's part of Helldivers 2's ongoing Galactic War, a community-driven meta-narrative that Arrowhead coordinates behind the scenes.
Here's the official description, according to the PlayStation Blog:
'Helldivers has a new goal: to repel the Illuminati invasion by reclaiming territory from the squids as they fight for control of fleet landing zones. It's not going to be an easy ride, troopers. Like a game of intergalactic tug-of-war, you'll be battling against the odds, quickly gaining and losing control.
You can activate the Planetary Defence Cannons and destroy the Illuminati fleet, as shown in the trailer. And, as already mentioned, SEAF troops will help in the defence of cities. These small units will fight enemies on their own, or they can be ordered to follow the Helldivers and provide temporary support while you advance to the objectives. However, you need to be careful of civilians still roaming the streets.
The 'Heart of Democracy' update is part of Arrowhead's long-term commitment to support Helldivers 2 for many years after its record-breaking launch last year.
