A quest classic with a modern twist: Microids unveils Syberia Remastered gameplay teaser

Yesterday Belgian company Microids announced a remaster of the cult quest Syberia, known for its complex puzzles and intricate plot. The authors limited themselves to a few screenshots and text description, but now they presented a gameplay teaser.

Microids showed gameplay footage of Syberia Remastered, which allows us to say without exaggeration that the game will be more like a remake, because apart from updating the graphics, Virtuallyz and Microids Studio Paris have significantly updated the gameplay, bringing it closer to modern cinematic adventures and making it a bit more dynamic.

The developers have rethought the puzzles to provide a "smoother and more intuitive experience" for players. Other notable changes include a revamped interface, easier controls and navigation. However, Microids assures that the "narrative soul" of the original game will remain unchanged, which is sure to please loyal Syberia fans.

The authors said that a special VR version of Syberia Remastered is also in development.

When We Can Expect It

Syberia Remastered is expected to release in the fourth quarter of 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
