Google has introduced Android XR lightweight smart glasses with a unique display in the lenses.

This new product has a tight integration with their Gemini artificial intelligence system, which allows you to receive useful information directly in the user's field of view, such as turn-by-turn routes.

Here's What We Know

The glasses are equipped with a camera, microphones, and speakers, and connect to a smartphone to work with apps. Gemini uses cameras to "see" the environment and provide relevant advice, answer questions, help with orientation, and provide live translation of conversations in real time. According to Google, the glasses "see and hear", making them an intelligent assistant throughout the day.

At the Google I/O conference, the company demonstrated how Android XR can be used to send messages, create meetings, take photos, and communicate in different languages effortlessly.

Google also collaborates with well-known brands such as Warby Parker and Gentle Monster to make glasses not only functional but also stylish - the kind of glasses that users will want to wear every day.

It is worth noting that according to a report by Korea Economic Daily, the Android XR smartglasses prototype recently shown by Google will be released by Samsung in 2026, a little later than previously expected.
