Helldivers 2 has been played by over 2.5 million people in the last week, - says Arrowhead Game Studios' Commercial Director

Despite all the ups and downs, Arrowhead Game Studios' co-operative shooter Helldivers 2 continues to hold the bar high. After the latest update, the studio's creative director Johan Pylestedt announced on Twitter that the game gathers about 2.5 million players every week. He also added that he is "very intrigued" to see how many new players will join the game after the update is released.

Here's What We Know

This is a large-scale expansion of Heart of Democracy, in which the Illuminati race attacks Super Earth. Players have to defend its street districts and activate planetary defence cannons. Battles now also involve SEAF troops, which can temporarily obey player orders. However, you should be careful - civilians may be caught in the fire, which will have consequences.
