One Million Players in Two Weeks: Revenge of the Savage Planet Co-Op Attracts a Large Audience, and Game Pass Played a Major Role

Raccoon Logic has every reason to celebrate: its new game Revenge of the Savage Planet has already attracted more than 1 million players. This figure was achieved in just two weeks after the launch. However, according to creative director Alex Hutchinson, in today's subscription world, 1 million players does not always mean 1 million copies sold.

Here's What We Know

"We are extremely grateful to all 1 million players who took part in the revenge against Alta," Raccoon Logic began its statement on the game's Steam page.

"Thank you for your support. As a team, we continue to make regular patches to ensure everyone has the best possible experience. We're also working on a roadmap for new features/updates/etc. that we want to share with you very soon! In the meantime, keep beating the smart guys, raccoons, and decorating your MTV Cribs style. The team loves to see all your creations, gifs, memes, etc. Keep them coming!"

In a post on Twitter , creative director Alex Hutchinson also celebrated the milestone, but with a tinge of sadness that the game's inclusion in Xbox Game Pass doesn't reflect the financial success that 1 million players would have meant in the days before such services.

"In today's world, that unfortunately doesn't translate into sales through subscription services, but it's still a great milestone," Hutchinson wrote.

Still, the main thing is that such services give the game much more attention, given how easy it is to get lost among so many projects, especially in 2025, when several cool games are released every month and autumn hasn't even arrived yet.
