It is not forgotten: Ubisoft Milan is looking for developers for AAA game based on the legendary Rayman universe
Once upon a time, in the early stages of its history as a developer and publisher, Ubisoft was known mostly for Rayman, not Assassin's Creed, Far Cry or Rainbow Six. This quirky character quickly won the hearts of fans after his debut in 1995, spawning a whole series of platformers and several spin-offs.
Here's What We Know
Undoubtedly, the most recognised of all the parts was also the last one in the main series: Rayman Legends, which was released in 2013. Since then, fans have been wondering whether the iconic Ubisoft mascot would ever return.
It looks like it will happen! Internet detectives have discovered that Ubisoft Milan is recruiting employees to work on an AAA game in the Rayman universe.
Ubisoft Milan is currently looking for a Senior Game Designer to work on the Rayman brand. The ideal candidate will have a proven and solid track record as a game designer in the video game industry with a deep understanding of how to define, prototype and implement game systems within a project, following the direction of the game while delivering a feel for the gameplay while keeping it fun and accessible. A strong UX sense or professional experience is recommended.
Additionally, Ubisoft Milan is looking for a talented 3D gameplay animator to contribute to the production of a Prestigious AAA title for the Rayman brand. This employee will be responsible for the quality and content of the animation aspects of the gameplay, which are in line with the game's vision.
Ubisoft Milan is best known for the successful Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, with the latter featuring Rayman in the DLC.
Of course, little is known about the project itself, except that it will be an AAA game. However, the very fact that people are actively recruiting for such a project is encouraging.
