Frostpunk 2 developers from 11 bit studios have released a major update for the game, adding Serenity Mode, Tales from the Frostland stories, temperature settings for areas, and much more. However, the team emphasises: "Our journey is far from over," and promises even more content and improvements in the future.

Here's What We Know

Serenity Mode offers a more relaxed city management experience without the pressure of disasters, and Tales from the Frostland adds new story quests and events. You can now adjust the temperature for individual areas of the city, making the gameplay even deeper and more flexible.

The developers are not resting on their laurels: they are working on a version for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, which is due out this summer. The team promises that the game on consoles will be as polished and user-friendly as possible. In addition, before each paid DLC release, players will receive a large free update with new content.

However, the second paid DLC Aurora has been postponed until 2026 - this decision is due to the team's desire to implement all new ideas at the proper level of quality. The first Spectrum DLC is still scheduled for release this autumn.
