Belarus adopts new V-2 armoured personnel carrier
Belarus has officially adopted a new V-2 combat vehicle with the Adunok-BM30.2 combat module.
Here's What We Know
The State Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus has announced that the V-2 armoured personnel carrier has successfully passed state tests. This is an 8×8 wheeled platform with a combat weight of 23.5 tonnes, developed at the Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant for the needs of the Ministry of Defence of Belarus.
The APC is designed to transport personnel (up to 8 paratroopers) and provide fire support in combat. The vehicle is equipped with a 560 horsepower diesel engine, automatic transmission, hydropneumatic suspension, has a range of up to 900 km and is capable of moving at speeds of over 110 km/h on the highway and 8 km/h on water. The crew is 3 people. The vehicle can also land from ships and overcome water obstacles without additional training.

The Adunok-BM30.2 combat module includes a 30mm 2A42 cannon, a 7.62mm PKT machine gun, four Konkurs-RB ATGMs and smoke grenade launchers. It is said to be capable of detecting targets at a range of up to 6,500 metres and hitting them at a range of up to 4,000 metres, with the ability to automatically track and destroy them.
The V-2 APC may eventually replace outdated Soviet models such as the BTR-70, BTR-80 and BMP-1/2 and become the main combat vehicle of the Belarusian army.
