The new Dodge Charger sedan: 670bhp and four doors.
It's been more than a year since the debut of the new Dodge Charger - in March 2024 the company showed a powerful electric coupe with 670 hp. At the same time a more affordable version R/T with 496 hp was presented, but due to market uncertainty it was quickly withdrawn from sale. Despite not the smoothest start, Dodge continues to expand the lineup: next in line is a four-door Charger, which will go on sale in a few weeks.
Here's What We Know
Like the coupe, the sedan is equipped with two electric motors and a 100.5 kWh battery. In the Daytona Scat Pack version, the total output reaches 670 hp and 627 lb-ft (850 N-m) of torque. Acceleration to 60 mph (96 km/h) takes 3.3 seconds - on par with the former Charger Hellcat Redeye.
The sedan gets a wide range of driving modes, from Sport and Track to Drag, Custom and more. There's also Drift Mode, Donut Mode, a PowerShot feature with a 10-second boost of 40 hp and the signature "Fratzonic" fake exhaust that mimics the sound of a V8 engine.
The 400-volt architecture provides fast charging of up to 183 kW: 20 to 80 per cent DC power in less than 30 minutes. And the range is 241 miles (388 kilometres).
From the 2026 model year onwards, a Track Pack will be available for both coupe and sedan versions. It includes 16-inch diameter Brembo ventilated brake discs and six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear. This is the most powerful braking system ever put on a Dodge. The Track Pack also includes Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tyres and 20-inch wheels.
The interior of the car greets the driver and passengers with a 16-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen Uconnect 5 multimedia system. Support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is implemented wirelessly. Integration with Amazon Alexa and a proprietary Performance Pages app for monitoring vehicle parameters are also available.
Prices have not been announced yet. For reference: the Charger Daytona R/T coupe costs from $61,590, the Scat Pack version - from $70,190.
