Super People, the failed battle royale that was shut down back in 2023, returns in June with an updated closed beta
Do you remember Super People? It's unlikely, but it was a battle royale game by South Korean studio Wonder People that was closed in May 2023 due to a drop in the number of players. Now get ready for an unexpected comeback. On June 19, this game will rise from the dead again, as Wonder People makes another attempt to gain a foothold in the world of battle royale.

In the press release officially confirming the return of Super People, it is noted that next month a closed beta will be held exclusively on Steam. Wonder People is reportedly planning to "build on the initial success of the original version" with this new, improved version of the game.
Super People wasn't a terrible game, but it wasn't very memorable either. It combined characters with super powers and upgradable skills that could evolve during the match. This meant that you could get incredible weapons, super speed, or huge skills to destroy your opponents.
Here's an excerpt from the press release that reveals the details of the upcoming closed beta:
"In Super People, players control a super soldier armed with powerful weapons and skills in a battle against other super soldiers. Their mission is to survive to the last man. Fourteen classes of super soldiers are available for players to choose from according to their preferred battle strategy. Unleash a continuous stream of high-calibre fury as the Machine Gun Soldier, breaking through defences and overwhelming enemies with a seemingly endless barrage of bullets. The Shotgun Master reigns supreme in close combat. Delivering devastating blasts of power at close range, this class is great at clearing out tight spaces and punishing those who dare to get too close. For those who prefer to deliver deadly blows from afar, the Sniper class is the invisible predator of the battlefield."
