Yesterday, we reported that a number of insiders doubt that Sony will be holding a major show anytime soon, as the company doesn't have anything to show off to the public yet. However, well-known insider and journalist Jeff Grubb has different information.

Here's What We Know

Grubb revealed on the Game Mess Mornings podcast that Sony will still hold some sort of event in June. He can't say for sure if it will be a massive PlayStation Showcase (which hasn't happened since 2023) or a less flashy State of Play, but something will definitely happen.

Grubb later repeated his thesis already in X, but clarified that he's still leaning towards State of Play.

Let us remind you that Sony will have an important release at the end of June - Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is coming out and it is logical to assume that before such an event the company will want to attract additional attention to the game and State of Play will be a great opportunity for this.
