An updated version of the action game Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny was released on modern platforms.

Here's What We Know

The game was originally released in 2002 and due to the fact that it was only available on PlayStation 2, it is not familiar to the general public.

Now Capcom has released a remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, with the novelty being available on current-gen consoles via backwards compatibility.

The release trailer reminds that in Onimusha 2 remaster the developers improved graphics, increased texture resolution, adapted controls to modern standards, unlocked all bonus content and mini-games, as well as added an additional difficulty level "Hell", on which each missed blow leads to the death of the protagonist and the end of the game.

Those who have Onimusha: Warlords remaster in their library will get a bonus costume for the protagonist in the updated version of Samurai's Destiny.

Capcom is also working on a new part of the series - Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which will be faithful to the concept of the old games, but will take the franchise to a new level.
