Osmo Pocket 4 will be DJI's first camera with Hasselblad - insiders
DJI, a company known for its drones and cameras for video blogging, is preparing a new generation of pocket camera - Osmo Pocket 4.
Here's What We Know
According to the latest leaks, the device will feature a Hasselblad camera, a brand previously used only in the company's flagship drones.
Osmo Pocket 4 is expected to be the most advanced member of the series. Its predecessor, Osmo Pocket 3, became popular among vloggers due to its compact size, 4K shooting, and stabilisation. The new product will have even higher image quality thanks to the closer cooperation between DJI and Hasselblad. DJI is rumoured to be planning to increase its stake in Hasselblad to 75%, which may indicate an even greater introduction of premium optics into the brand's products.
Although the Osmo Pocket 4 is unlikely to have a 100MP sensor, it has the potential to compete with models such as the Insta360 Ace 2 Pro with Leica optics.
So far, DJI has not revealed an official release date. The Osmo Pocket 3 is available on Amazon for $799.99, but the new model is likely to exceed this price due to improvements.
It should be noted that the camera
DJI recently introduced new accessories for the Zenmuse V1 and S1 drones.
