During the first year of post-release support for Assassin's Creed Shadows, players will be able to enjoy a lot of new features: story quests, an open-world alarm system, New Game Plus mode, and additional difficulty levels. Also, the first major expansion pack called Claws of Awaji is being prepared, which, according to unofficial information, is scheduled for release in September. But what's next?

Here's What We Know

According to Insider Gaming journalist Tom Henderson, a co-operative mode codenamed LEAGUE is indeed in the works. Its release is supposedly expected in 2026. Interestingly, the main characters of the campaign - Naoe and Yasuke - are not the main focus of this mode, although they remain key characters. According to sources, the story in LEAGUE will become deeper and go beyond the adventures of just these two characters.

This may indicate the emergence of new playable characters - possibly allies that players meet during the main campaign. If the mode has a heroic structure similar to Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, it could be quite successful.

Where To Play

Assassin's Creed Shadows is available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC.
