Xiaomi has overtaken Apple and Huawei in the global smartwatch and fitness bracelet market
The analytical agency Canalys has published a report on the results of the first quarter of 2025 in the wearable electronics market - this category includes the currently popular smartwatches and fitness bracelets.

Analysts stated that in the first three months of 2025, the leader among manufacturers of these gadgets was the Chinese company Xiaomi with 8.7 million shipped devices, taking 19% of the market. The company demonstrates sales growth of 44%, largely due to the update of the Smart Band and Watch series, as well as the release of affordable products under the Redmi brand.
The second line was taken by Apple, selling 7.6 million devices, which accounted for 16% of the global market.
In third place was another Chinese giant Huawei, which was only slightly behind the Americans and sold 7.1 million gadgets, taking 15 per cent of the market.
Samsung is in fourth position with 4.9 million wearable devices and 11% of the market, and closing the top five is Garmin with 1.8 million shipments and 4% of the market share.
Note that interest in smartwatches and fitness bracelets is at a high level and has grown by 13% compared to the first quarter of 2024, with sales reaching 46.6 million units.
