Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 may be presented in June

Xiaomi is preparing to introduce a new folding smartphone, Mix Flip 2, in June 2025, according to an insider at Digital Chat Station.

The novelty will be the only foldable device of Xiaomi this year, as the Mix Fold 4 model is not planned. The Mix Flip 2 will be powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which will provide a high level of performance.

The smartphone will be equipped with a 6.85-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, with a folding thickness of just 7.6 mm and a weight of about 190 grams. Mix Flip 2 will support fast charging: 67 W wired and 50 W wireless, and the battery capacity is 5100 mAh.

The smartphone's cameras are represented by a dual module: the main 50 MP camera with optical stabilisation (OIS) and an ultra-wide-angle 50 MP camera. The device will also come with an infrared port, NFC, an under-screen fingerprint scanner, and IPX8 water protection.

Mix Flip 2 has already received 3C certification in China, which confirms the imminent launch. The global launch is expected in July, separately from the Redmi K80 Extreme Edition and Redmi compact gaming tablet, which will be unveiled at a different event. The Redmi K80 Ultra will remain exclusive to China, although the global version of the Xiaomi 15T Pro will be released in the third quarter of 2025.
