When it comes to legendary developers in the video game industry, Mark Cerny's name stands out. This PlayStation system architect is behind the innovative designs of the PS5 and PS4. Nowadays, he's undoubtedly immersed in the development of the PS6, but even though he's so busy, he still finds time for his favourite games - and as it turns out, he's a true master of them.

Here's What We Know

Cerny, known for his talent for getting incredible "platinum trophies", won the rare award in Balatro last weekend, joining the scant 0.1% of players who have done so.

"After seven months and hundreds of hours, I'm proud to join the 0.1% of players who have achieved platinum in Balatro," he wrote. "Thanks to developer LocalThunk for the incredibly deep gameplay!"

It is estimated that it takes between 150 and 250 hours to get the "platinum trophy" in Balatro, requiring the use of every Joker in the game to defeat the deck on the highest difficulty level. For the vast majority of players - even those who truly enjoy the game - this is likely to be too much to handle.
