The operators of the 63rd Mechanised Brigade conducted a risky night operation to rescue Ukrainian Leleka and Mara drones, evacuating them with the help of another drone, a large Nemesis.

Here's What We Know

According to the press service of the 63rd Brigade, the crews of the unmanned systems battalion managed to lift the damaged scouts from the battlefield using the Nemesis, a multifunctional copter that is usually used as an attack drone. This time, it was used in an unusual role as a "rescuer".

The video shows the copter separately lifting each of the drones in the night sky using a mechanical "arm" with a cable. The operation required high precision and coordination, but was successful - both drones were evacuated and returned to service.

The brigade emphasised that this was a brilliantly executed task that demonstrates a new level of drone warfare: "Private Nemesis saves Private Leleka and Mara".

Cases like this show that the potential of drones is far from being exhausted. The Ukrainian military is constantly adapting the equipment to the needs of the battlefield, inventing non-standard ways to use it.
