Apple is preparing an innovation in iOS 19 that can make it much easier to transfer eSIMs from iPhone to Android smartphones. This is reported by Android Authority, citing the Android 16 beta code and Google SIM Manager.

Here's What We Know

The code mentions a new feature called Transfer to Android, which will allow you to transfer an eSIM from an iPhone to an Android device. Today, this process requires contacting a mobile operator, as Apple does not support direct eSIM transfer to Android. The transfer from iPhone to iPhone is simple, but users often face difficulties when switching to Android.

It is expected that the new option will appear in the Transfer or Reset iPhone menu in the settings, in the General section. In addition, in case the wireless connection fails, there is a backup transfer option via QR code.

The Google SIM Manager code indicates that iOS 19 is required to activate the feature, so it is likely that Apple will add it in this update. The presentation of iOS 19 is expected at WWDC 2025 in June, so more details may appear very soon.

There is also a suggestion that Google is working on a mirror function to transfer eSIMs from Android to iPhone.

We would like to remind you that iOS 19 interface with round icons and new animations was shown online. According to Apple sources, iOS 19 will feature a visionOS-style design with transparent interface elements such as buttons, menus, and notifications.
