Galaxy A15 (4G) gets One UI 7 update with Android 15 in Asia, Europe and North America
Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 7 update based on Android 15 for the Galaxy A15 (4G) in several countries in Asia, Oceania, Europe and North America. This is the first major software update for this model.
Here's What We Know
Last week, users in South Korea received the update, and now One UI 7 is rolling out to countries such as Iraq, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, the UAE, Vietnam, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the Caribbean islands.
The update is about 3 GB in size and brings with it the latest security patch for May 2025. The firmware version differs depending on the region - for example, in the Caucasus and Asia it is A155FXXU6CYE3, and in the Caribbean it is A155MUBU6CYE3.
How to install
In order to check for the update, Galaxy A15 owners should go to Settings, Software Update, Download and Install. After the update, the phone will reboot and users will be able to appreciate the new One UI 7 interface.
One UI 7 brings a significant design update with smooth animations and transitions, new icons, widgets with enhanced customisation options, and a vertical scrolling app menu. A new battery indicator in the status bar and charging animation have been added.
Other new features include the Now Bar, which displays active processes such as navigation, media playback, Samsung Health workouts, sports results, timer and stopwatch. This bar appears on the lock screen, in the status bar and at the top of the Notification Centre.
Several standard Samsung apps have also been updated. The camera has an updated interface, adapted for easier one-handed operation. The Samsung Internet browser and built-in image and video editors have also received new features.
The Galaxy A15 was released in early 2024 with Android 14 and One UI 6.1, and after One UI 7, the device will receive three more major Android and One UI updates.
