Bentley is preparing for the premiere of the most extreme version of its Bentayga SUV. It will be unveiled on 2 June. It will be a new flagship of the range in terms of dynamics and handling, which will eclipse even the 12-cylinder Bentayga Speed.

Here's What We Know

Although there are no official specifications yet, Bentley has already confirmed that it will be powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine with no hybrid option under the bonnet. According to unofficial estimates, the output will exceed 635 hp, and acceleration to 100 km/h will take less than 3.9 seconds - faster than the previous W12.

For comparison, the standard Bentley Bentayga with a 4.0-litre V8 produces 550 hp and 770 N-m, accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and reaches a maximum of 290 km/h.

In a short teaser video we can see some details of the future novelty: sporty diffuser, black emblems and Akrapovič exhaust system. Also confirmed is the new ESC Dynamic mode, which allows the car to go into controlled drifting - for the first time in the history of the Bentayga and the entire Bentley brand.

Bentley calls the upcoming model "the most emotional and engaging" in the range, emphasising that abandoning the W12 does not mean abandoning high performance. On the contrary, V8 versions open the way to new sensations behind the wheel.
