The first Xiaomi and Redmi users are already getting HyperOS 2.2: the developer revealed what improvements you can expect to see

Xiaomi has started a phased rollout of HyperOS 2.2 firmware for its devices. The Chinese manufacturer has revealed what updates await users of gadgets of Xiaomi and Redmi brands.

Here's What We Know

The first users received HyperOS 2.2 already on 27 May, but the main wave of the update release started today and will last a few days. The firmware release dates may vary by region.

Users can expect a number of issues to be fixed, the main ones being camera malfunctions and arbitrary home screen reboots.

In addition, with the release of HyperOS 2.2, Xiaomi will eliminate the cause of gadgets overheating, app freezes and delays that occurred after previous updates, as well as improve the overall user experience.

The Chinese developer will also fix an issue with the flagship Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro tablet, which was experiencing issues with the silent mode of the Xiao AI voice assistant.
