Polish company CD Projekt has published its financial report for the first quarter of 2025, in which it shared several important news.

Here's What We Know

First things first: the developers no longer use the codename "Project Orion" and openly announced that the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel has left the concept stage and is in pre-production.

CD Projekt will expand its staff to work on this game and The Witcher 4 and published an infographic according to which:

  • CD Projekt's headcount increased from 707 in February to 730 at the end of May;
  • The Witcher 4 team grew from 411 to 422;
  • Cyberpunk 2 team from 84 to 96 people;
  • The Witcher: Sirius team, down from 49 to 48.

The company recorded record profits and notes that this was thanks to Cyberpunk 2077, which sold more than 30 million copies, sales of the Phantom Liberty add-on for Cyberpunk 2077, which exceeded 10 million, and The Witcher 3, which reached 60 million copies across all editions, confirming the game's cult status.
