New Jeep Cherokee revealed in teasers ahead of official premiere
It's been rumoured for a long time and Jeep has finally officially confirmed it: the Cherokee is coming back. The new generation SUV will debut soon and go on sale in America later this year.

The Cherokee was discontinued in March 2023 after 49 years on the assembly line, leaving a hole in the Jeep lineup.

The next-generation SUV is shown in a pair of teaser images. Jeep says the model has been completely reimagined and given a more refined design. This SUV will also be larger than its predecessor, though still not as large as the Grand Cherokee. And it will also get a hybrid powertrain, although the initial version will likely be powered by a petrol engine with no electric assistants.

The new Jeep Cherokee will premiere in a few weeks. Production of the 2026 model year SUV will start in the second half of 2025. A more precise timeline has not yet been named. Neither are the prices.
