Vivo Pad 5 tablet has a 12.1-inch screen and Dimensity 9300+ chip

Vivo has launched the new Vivo Pad 5 tablet alongside its S30 series of smartphones in China. The new device replaces the Pad 5 Pro model, which was released last month, and is aimed at both entertainment and work.

Here's What We Know

The tablet has a 12.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of 3096×2064 pixels, 16:10 aspect ratio and 144Hz refresh rate. The brightness reaches 900 nits, and the body is only 6.62 mm thick and weighs 590 g.

The tablet is powered by the new Dimensity 9300+ processor with powerful graphics for gaming and work. A large cooling system is used to avoid overheating. The tablet has up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage, depending on the version.

The tablet runs on OriginOS 5 based on Android 15. It comes preinstalled with WPS Office for working with documents and CAJViewer, a handy app for reading scientific texts.

The tablet is equipped with an 8-megapixel main camera for document capture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and face unlocking. The 10,000 mAh battery supports 44W charging and can operate in standby mode for up to 62 days.

There is support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and six built-in speakers for high-quality sound.

Prices start at 2399 yuan ($330) for the basic 8/128GB version. The maximum 16/512GB configuration costs 3499 yuan ($480). Sales in China will begin on 6 June.

As a reminder, the Vivo S30 Pro mini has a 6.31″ LTPO AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5000 nits.
