Nintendo Switch 2 is just a week away from its launch, which analysts are predicting to be the most successful launch in the history of gaming consoles. The Japanese company long before the presentation of the gadget confirmed that the novelty will be compatible with almost all games for the first Switch and now this promise has a statistical confirmation.

Here's What We Know

Nintendo published a brief infographic, from which it became known that the developer has tested for compatibility with the new Switch 122 own games and of them did not run only one - Labo VR Kit, and this is due to the fact that the display of the new console became slightly larger than the one for which the game is designed.

As for the 15,000 tested games from third-party studios, 170 have been found incompatible so far, and Nintendo promises that number will be even lower by the time of the console's release.

Statistics from Nintendo

As a reminder, some of the older games will receive free updates to improve performance on Switch 2, and for some titles will be released "Switch 2 Edition " - a paid update with additional content.

Nintendo has also provided a Virtual Game Cards feature for transferring digital libraries between devices.
