The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Serie will feature mod support

Polish developers announced that versions of the cult RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will get official support for mods, which is a great rarity on consoles.

The developers will implement this feature in one of the patches that will be released before the end of 2025. In addition, all mods developed for the PC version of The Witcher 3 will become multiplatform, which will allow to release them on consoles as well. Integration with mod io service will help in this, but for this you need to register on the platform and link your CD Projekt ecosystem account.

Cross-platform mods that make changes to Wild Hunt scripts must be made exclusively with the official REDkit toolkit.
