Samsung closes registration for One UI 8 Beta in the US - places are gone instantly

Samsung has opened One UI 8 testing, and the demand has exceeded all expectations. In the US, the beta testing programme has already reached the maximum number of participants, with registration closing in less than a day.

Users who missed out will only see a notification: "We have reached the limit of participants in this beta test. Thank you for your interest. Please try to join the next beta."

And this is despite the negative experience with One UI 7, which was released with delays, limited distribution, and technical difficulties. Back then, it took the company several months just to launch the beta. However, it seems that Samsung has now drawn conclusions: testing of One UI 8 started quickly, and interest in the new version is at a record high.

In addition to the US, the One UI 8 beta is also available in Germany, South Korea, and the UK. It is not yet known whether the quotas in other countries have been filled.

The company has decided not to release One UI 7.1 or 7.5, but to move straight to One UI 8. This is an atypical move, as Samsung usually makes several interim releases after major updates.

One UI 7 included an updated interface, new icons, and features.

The One UI 8 update is not just about artificial intelligence. Among the new features is Auracast technology (based on Bluetooth LE Audio), which allows multiple users to easily connect to a shared audio stream by scanning a QR code. Another useful change is the simplified service in service centres. Thanks to QR codes or NFC, support is now available directly through Samsung Account: registration without paper forms reduces waiting times and makes service more convenient.
