Casio to launch G-Shock x Surfrider Foundation collection in the UK
Casio has officially confirmed the release of the new G-Shock G-5600SFJ-9 model, created in collaboration with the Japanese branch of the Surfrider Foundation, in the UK market.
Here's What We Know
The watch has already appeared in the Casio UK online store, and its launch is expected in June 2025.
The model features a bright yellow design and has a number of signature features of the G-Shock series. In particular, the watch supports Tough Solar charging, which allows it to be powered by sunlight, and is equipped with a power saving mode. Under normal use without access to light, it can operate for up to 12 months without recharging.
There is a white LED backlight that helps to read the display at night.
Other features include support for five time zones with a choice of 48 cities, a stopwatch with 1/100th of a second accuracy, a countdown timer, five daily alarms and a white LED backlight for easy reading in the dark.
In Japan, the model will be sold for ¥20,900 (about $145). The price for the UK has not yet been announced, and it is not known whether this collaboration will appear in other European countries or in the US.
Casio has recently introduced the G-LIDE GLXS5610 women's watch in the US in the colours of the Lilo and Stitch cartoon. The new line was created in collaboration with professional surfer from Hawaii and G-Shock ambassador Bettylou Sakura Johnson. The GLXS5610-2 comes in bright blue and the GLXS5610-4 in deep pink.
