Hugging Face has unveiled the HopeJR humanoid robot and the Reachy Mini desktop droid

Hugging Face, a company that specialises in developing AI technology, has unveiled two humanoid robots HopeJR and Reachy Mini.

The HopeJR and Reachy Mini projects are completely open source, as the authors want to make the development of such devices as accessible as possible to a wide range of engineers and enthusiasts.

HopeJR is a human-sized robot with 66 degrees of freedom, allowing it to walk, move its arms and legs, turn its head and perform various tasks.

Reachy Mini is a compact desktop robot assistant that can turn its head, take in information, and maintain dialogue. Its main use is to help test AI applications.

The estimated price of HopeJR is $3000 and Reachy Mini is $250-300. Pre-orders for the robots are already open and they will start shipping by the end of 2025.
