Bloomberg: Meta will release a dedicated Instagram app for iPad by the end of 2025

A few days ago, Meta fulfilled a long-standing wish of iPad users and released a special WhatsApp application adapted for the large screens of Apple tablets. The company will not stop there and will optimise another popular application for its gadget.

In the new issue of the weekly news digest Power On authoritative insider and journalist Bloomberg Mark Gurman reported that by the end of 2025 Meta in cooperation with Apple will release an Instagram application for iPad.

At the moment, users of these devices are content with Instagram's artificially stretched iPhone interface or use the web version, which is also inconvenient.

Gurman said the adapted app is already undergoing closed testing and will offer users a user-friendly interface for viewing feeds, storis and live feeds, as well as simplified photo and video editing. It is expected to support landscape orientation and integration with the Apple Pencil stylus.
