Ukraine destroyed 34% of russia's strategic aviation in one day: president Zelensky commented on operation "Spider web"
Today, the Ukrainian security services carried out an unprecedented operation called "Spider's Web" (this is the name that appears in the media), which will undoubtedly be the main topic of world publications for a long time to come and will be included in military history textbooks.
It should be reminded that according to unconfirmed information FPV-drones destroyed a huge number of strategic aircrafts located at five airfields throughout the territory of Russia, with one of the most affected sites - Belaya airfield - located 6000 km from the centre of Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
We have already reported on the first unofficial details of the operation, and now it is time to turn our attention to the statement of the President of Ukraine.
In his evening address to the nation, Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the successful defeat of 34% of all strategic aviation of the aggressor country.
The head of state said that 117 FPV drones were involved in the operation, which were controlled by an appropriate number of operators. According to him, all participants were withdrawn to the territory of Ukraine in advance and they are not threatened by anything.
It is noteworthy that the "office" of the operation, as Zelensky noted, was located near the FSB department of one of the affected regions.
Probably in the near future the SBU will reveal more information about the unique operation "Web", but the special services of Ukraine once again proved that the enemy will not be at ease on its territory until it stops military aggression.
