Ilon Musk's car company (Elon Musk) is facing an unexpected problem - lack of space to accommodate unclaimed Cybertruck pickup trucks. Even legally questionable solutions have to be resorted to.

Here's What We Know

The most striking example of this situation is observed in the suburbs of Detroit, where dozens of electric pickup trucks filled the car park of the closed shop Bed Bath Beyond. According to Automotive News, such use of commercial property is against local law.

The owner of the lot has already received an official notice that cars should not be stored on the property. Municipal authorities have begun enforcement proceedings.

According to Electrek, as of the beginning of May, the stock of Tesla Cybertruck exceeded the mark of 10 thousand units. The total value of unsold cars is estimated at $800 million.

Production lines at Tesla's Texas plant have already felt the effects of lower demand. Employees, previously involved in the assembly of Cybertruck, are being transferred to other areas, which indicates a revision of production plans.

Meanwhile, sales of all Tesla models in Europe collapsed by 49% in April. It is indicative that Tesla's sharp decline occurred against the backdrop of overall growth in the new car market.
