Shotguns, grenade launchers, holograms, and new upgrades: what interesting gameplay changes are coming to Death Stranding 2?
With less than a month to go until Death Stranding 2: On the Beach's release, Kojima Productions is already preparing a high-profile premiere - a special Game Premiere Event will take place on 8 June during Summer Game Fest. In the meantime, the official PlayStation page has new details about the combat system, equipment and unique mechanics in the sequel.
Here's What We Know
In the second part of Sam Porter Bridges' adventures, players will have even more freedom in choosing their own style of play. Kojima Productions has improved the gameplay so that everyone can find the optimal balance between stealth, action, and exploration.
According to the new information, Sam will be able to use not only the weapons familiar to players, but also a wide arsenal of new weapons: machine guns, shotguns, and grenade launchers. For fans of stealth, the possibility of silent assassinations and the use of deceptive holograms has been added - probably, it is about new grenades with B.T. holograms.
The Automated Porter Assistant system deserves special attention. It allows you to improve Sam's characteristics in four ways: for example, to reduce the speed of movement for better stealth or to increase the rate of fire of weapons. For upgrades, you will need to consume special Memories resources, the amount of which is limited, so you will have to carefully plan the development of the hero.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released exclusively for PS5 on 26 June. And on 8 June, fans will be able to attend a large-scale premiere event, where new gameplay will probably be shown and even more secrets of the game will be revealed.
