New information about the iPhone 17 has appeared on the network, which may upset potential buyers.

Here's What We Know

Insider Fixed Focus Digital reported on its Weibo page that while all iPhone 17 models will get high refresh rate displays, the top-of-the-line ProMotion screens will only appear in the flagship 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. This means that buyers of the standard model iPhone 17 and the ultra-thin 17 Air can only expect outdated LTPS-OLED displays that don't support variable frequency (1 to 120Hz).

The lack of such an option increases the power consumption of the gadget, which in turn reduces battery life. In addition, the base models will not have the Always-On feature - the company uses it only in devices with LTPO-screens.
