The source of these rumours was extremely interesting findings in gameplay footage from the upcoming version of the game for Nintendo Switch 2. Probably, CD Projekt Red is preparing a pleasant surprise for all platforms.

Here's What We Know

Eagle-eyed players noticed an interesting detail in a recent gameplay video taken from the Switch 2 version of the game. Fans found an icon on the mini-map that is not present in the current version of the game.

This icon seems to indicate the presence of loot - but it only appears when Wee drives past the location. Moreover, the icon itself on the map is very similar to the small indicator that appears when you encounter dynamic missions that were added in the Phantom Liberty expansion pack.

This suggests that this is some kind of new activity present in the Switch 2 version - and it's logical to assume that it will soon be ported to other platforms via an update.

We can only wait for the official announcements, which may come as early as 5 June with the release of the game on Switch 2.
